History: In 1982, the current facility was built as a veterinary clinic. In 1997, Dr. Mike Hayes purchased Yellowstone Animal Hospital. He provided 20 years of high quality care to the residents of Cheyenne. In 2017, Dr. Hayes decided to enjoy his grandchildren and the great outdoors more and retired. Dr. Becky Marcy purchased the practice in 2017 and changed the name to Yellowstone Animal Health Center. Her focus is on the entire individual, wellness to sickness. This preventative care approach fit more with a Health Center versus a Hospital. The same great, personalized care will be provided to your four-legged family members!

Learn about the veterinarian and staff that care for your furry loved-ones!

Dr. Rebecca Marcy is a Cheyenne native who knew as a young child veterinary medicine was her calling.  She started volunteering in a veterinary clinic at the age of 12 and has never left this profession.  After graduating from the University of Wyoming with a double major in Animal Science and Molecular Biology in 2003, she attended Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences for her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  After graduation in 2007, Dr. Marcy pursued mixed-animal medicine.  She then pursued small animal and exotic medicine exclusively then became certified in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture.

In 2017, Dr. Marcy seized the opportunity to follow her dreams and become the owner of Yellowstone Animal Health Center.  Dr. Marcy has built a center focusing on the entire well-being of your furry loved-ones.

Dr. Marcy is blessed with an incredibly supportive husband and three wonderful young children.  She also enjoys time with her cat, Squirt and young Goldendoodle, Rubble.

Veterinary Care Specialists

Yellowstone Animal Health Center has two amazing animal care specialists, although that term does not capture the extent of everything they do for the clinic!

Brenda is a Certified Veterinary Technician.  She loves her job so much that she has been working as a technician since graduating from Colorado Mountain College in 1986.  Helping pets live long healthy lives is a passion for Brenda.  When not at work, Brenda enjoys being a 4-H club leader, gardening, reading, and spending time with her husband and children.  They share their home with Oliver and Jolly…”the dogs” and Tina and Tougher…”the cats!”

Darcy is the friendly face you see at the front desk.  She is a Wyoming native and proud to be so!  Darcy loves what Wyoming has to offer.  Darcy and Scott are exciting a little lass this coming February!  This adds to their two boys and many animals!
